10月28日,中共中央政治局常委、国务院总理李克强给金寨县希望小学师生回信,肯定希望工程是建设社会最富感召力的道德力量,指出消除贫困或难短时兑现,可创造公平必须刻不容缓,勉励大家共同持续不断努力,为天下所有贫困孩子的幸福人生创造美好的希望!回信全文如下:金寨县希望小学的老师、同学们:你们好!来信收悉。从照片上看到你们宽敞、整洁的校容校貌,获知学校已经培养了6175名贫困孩子,开始新的人生。我的心情分外高兴。我清晰记得,当年来这里为全国第一所希望小学选址时,正是冬末初春时节,不曾想到,希望工程第一粒种子在大别山深处的冻土里,破土成长为今天这样一棵枝繁叶茂的参天大树。
