金美夏是以油桃优良品系81-3-10作母本、夏魁作父本杂交育成的油桃新品种。果实近圆稍扁形,平均单果重202.1 g,最大单果重283.0 g;果实底色黄色,全部果面呈浓红色,果皮光滑无毛,果顶圆平,缝合线浅;黏核,无裂核;果肉黄色,硬溶质,硬度中等,有中度香气,风味浓甜,鲜食品质优良;可溶性糖含量8.58%,可滴定酸含量0.26%;在北京市,果实7月中旬成熟,是中熟品种。2009年通过北京市林木品种审定委员会审定。
