Editor’s comrade: I read Comrade Feng Rui’s “Elements of Productivity and Its Balance” (article 2, 1982), and I seem to have something to say. Feng Wen believes that the elements of productivity constitute the material content of the productive forces is the most basic aspect; and science and technology are rejected from the elements of productivity. I recognize the importance of dividing the various elements of productive forces, but I do not agree with rejecting the notion that science and technology are productive forces. According to the definition of the productive forces, all the factors of productive forces include the laborers, working tools and objects of labor. However, science and technology are infiltrated into the productive forces and transformed into productive forces so that the laborers, working tools and objects of labor And other factors can be directly combined with each other. Visible, science and technology is a material force, but also has an objective reality. If you leave science and technology, then what kind of “productivity”?
