Located in the southernmost tip of Jimei, near the sea, is the birthplace of ancient Jimei, Xiamen was also famous fishing village. Chen Shaobin, an old resident who has lived in Taisha for more than 70 years, told reporters that as a child, he followed his father and grandfather to raise oysters and took a boat to sea for fishing and lived on the beach for generations to come. However, as the first cage of rehabilitated waters in the western waters began to be dismantled, the tranquility and serenity of Taesheng’s people for hundreds of years were broken overnight. To bid farewell to the Western Seaboard in 2002 and go ashore for development is a great turning point in life experienced by many Dazs. What to do after transformation? The biggest problem is employment. It is understood that most of the Jimei people involved in the regulation of the Western Sea Area are Dashe people, which have more than 200 households and over 1,000 population, of whom more than 300 are laborers.
