A 2 × 330 MW two subcritical boilers of a power plant have suffered from three consecutive superheater bursts (three decades of cumulative operation) in a row at the same location since the second half of 2012, resulting in significant economic losses. The factory has done a lot of work to find out the reason, check Ⅱ level water jet desuperheater, superheater inlet header and tube (foreign matter and oxide scale), pipe and so on were found no exception, the pipe burst analysis into work Dilemma. In this paper, starting with the adjustment of operation, through in-depth analysis of a large number of operating parameters and final inlet structure of the superheater, it is concluded that these accidents are caused by a large number of oxide scales breaking off in a short time under certain conditions, A targeted preventive measures.
