中国医学科学院图书馆即中国协和医科大学图书馆的前身,是1921年建立的北京协和医学院图书馆。1956年中国医学科学院成立,该馆与前中央卫生研究院图书馆合并改称中国医学科学院图书馆。1985年中国协和医科大学恢复办学,因该校与中国医学科学院是统一的领导,平行的机构,所以又增加中国协和医科大学图书馆名称,此乃为医科院和协和医大共有的图书馆。 该馆历史悠久、馆藏丰富,以收集生物、医学书刊为主,尤以外文期刊丰富而著称。馆藏期刊总数约5700余种,包括30多个国家10余种文字,其中有近
The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Library, the predecessor of the Peking Union Medical College Library, was established in 1921 by the Peking Union Medical College Library. 1956 China Academy of Medical Sciences was established, the museum and the former Central Institute of Health merged the library renamed the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Library. The resumption of running of Peking Union Medical College in 1985, because the school and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences is a unified leading and parallel institution, added the name of the Chinese Peking Union Medical University Library, which is a common library for medical schools and Peking Union Medical College. The museum has a long history, rich collection, to collect biological, medical books and periodicals, especially foreign-language periodicals rich and famous.
