In the 1950s and 1960s, five economic monographs on political science such as democracy, constitutional government and voting were suddenly emerged. As a result, a new discipline - the economics of public choice - was born. The first, this Downe’s “Economic Theory of Democracy.” This book is a Ph.D. thesis by Downs.
