The development of novels in Ming and Qing dynasties is the process of continuously getting rid of and transcending the pattern of storytelling. This transcendence is mainly manifested in: 1. The subject of narration is transformed from a public storyteller to a hidden narrator. The evolution from the linear structure of “embellishment” to the “network structure” linking vertically and horizontally. 3. From the perspective of secondary knowledge, the perspective of characters partially replaced omniscience perspective. From the surreal legend to the realistic “natural drawing” development. 5.
