Flannery O’conner is a 20th-century South American writer. Her work is full of rich southern flavor. Taking “Good Man Hard to Find” as an example, the article explores the theme and artistic style of O’Connor’s works. In this work, the reader can clearly understand her native land - the deep imprint left on her in the South of the United States; she witnessed the social deformity that she delineated for the reader (her attempt was made through violence and deformity The description of the characters to achieve the purpose of making people “awake” themselves; and capturing the shadow of religious thought that greatly affects her. The successful shaping of these themes is partly due to the influence of the southern regional culture on her and the influence of Catholic families on her. On the other hand, she has benefited from her proper use of art techniques such as satire, humor and symbolism.
