宜昌市位于鄂西山区与江汉平原的结合部,全市辖7县2市3区,138个乡(镇、办事处),3210个行政村,总人口390多万人,其中农业人口(含郊区)约317万人,占总人口的81.3％。 1986年,宜昌市枝江县被确定为湖北省五个农村初保试点县之一,1991年,又有远安县被纳入全省试点县行列。几年来,在各级党委、政府的直接领导下,试点县广大干部、群众发扬苏区人民坚韧不拔的革命精神。
Yichang City is located at the junction of the mountains in western Hubei and Jianghan Plain. The city has jurisdiction over 7 counties, 2 cities and 3 districts, 138 townships (towns and offices), and 3210 administrative villages. The total population is more than 3.9 million, including agricultural population (including suburbs About 3.17 million people, 81.3% of the total population. In 1986, Zhijiang County in Yichang City was identified as one of the five rural primary insurance pilot counties in Hubei Province. In 1991, another county was included in the province’s pilot counties. Over the past few years, under the direct leadership of the party committees and governments at all levels, the county’s cadres and the masses have carried forward the revolutionary spirit of the people of the Soviet region in their perseverance.
