无锡素以山水秀美、人文景观众多而著称,被誉为“太湖明珠”。曾经,无锡是历代王朝的槽运要地,京杭大运河穿城而过,7条水运干线沟通相连,富庶的鱼米之乡,便捷的水陆通道,孕育了著名的“无锡米市”和“布码头”。
Wuxi is famous for its beautiful landscapes and numerous cultural landscapes. It is known as “Pearl of the Taihu Lake.” Once upon a time, Wuxi was the trough transport site of dynasties. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passed through the city and seven water transport lines were connected. The rich land of fish and rice and convenient land and water channels gave birth to the famous “Wuxi Meishi” and “Wharf” .
