The implicit myth model of Mao Dun in his “Eclipse” Trilogy is a dazzling spark of collision between Chinese and Western cultures and also an exchange of the ancient Chinese and Western philosophies with a landmark. Erosion is the most complete symbolism in the history of Chinese literature. Its literary status so far can not be surpassed by any literary work. This article will probe deeply into the reappearance of the implicit myth model in the “Eclipse” trilogy of Mao Dun’s classic novel.
