陈直先生是著名的历史学家和考古学家。 1991年 ,本刊曾发表黄留珠教授《陈直先生的治学精神和学术思想》一文 ,纪念先生逝世 10周年暨诞辰 90周年。今岁正逢先生逝世 2 0周年暨诞辰 10 0周年 ,他生前供职的西北大学举行纪念座谈会 ,以缅怀这位对我国学术事业发展做出巨大贡献的宗师。现征得西大同意 ,本刊特将这次座谈会上部分专家学者的发言 ,摘录整理为如下的笔谈发表 ,以飨读者
Mr. Chen is a famous historian and archaeologist. In 1991, we published a paper entitled “Professor Chen Zhi’s Academic Spirit and Academic Thought” written by Professor Huang Liuzhu to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death and the 90th anniversary of his birth. This year coincides with the 20th anniversary of the death of his father and the 100th anniversary of his birth. He held a memorial symposium at Northwestern University during his lifetime to cherish the gratitude of this guru who made a great contribution to the development of our academic work. Now with the consent of the University of the West, we hereby give special consideration to the speeches and excerpts of some experts and scholars at the symposium as follows:
