欧洲远程电子学习副主席Martine Vidal曾经把远程开放教育比喻为“永不停歇的先驱者”。远程开放教育的创新体现在教育理念、教学方法和教育改革实践探索,以及教育民主化的追求上。本文通过荷兰开放大学的案例研究,剖析信息技术环境下开放大学的历史重任,展现开放大学在促进教育公平、推进终身学习实践上的创新实践,展望开放大学的未来发展走向。
Martine Vidal, vice president of distance e-learning in Europe, once described remote open education as a “never-ending pioneer.” The innovation of distance and open education is reflected in the educational philosophy, teaching methods and practice of educational reform and the pursuit of democratization of education. Based on the case studies of the Open University of the Netherlands, this paper analyzes the historical mission of open universities under the environment of information technology, reveals the innovative practice of open universities in promoting education fairness and promoting the practice of lifelong learning, and looks forward to the future development of open universities.
