“20世纪·中国”——这个以特定的时空命名的展览,是中央美术学院这个最高的美术学府与中国美术馆这个最高的艺术殿堂一次空前规模的合作。它包括了中国美术馆以及中国革命博物馆、中国历史博物馆、徐悲鸿纪念馆所藏中央美术学院教师们历年的作品,也包括了中央美术学院现任教师在中国画、油画、版画、壁画和雕塑方面的最新作品。近300名作者的近600件作品,布满了美术馆大修后业已开放的全部7个展厅,诚可谓洋洋大观。它展示了中国现代美术的成就,映现了20世纪的时代风云在中国大地上历史性的变化,也在一定程度上代表了20世纪中国美术发展变化的趋势,因此,它有可能在中国的现代美术史上写下重要的一页。
“20th Century China” - This exhibition, named in a specific space and time, is an unprecedented collaboration between the highest art academy of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the highest palatial art gallery of the National Art Museum of China. It includes works by the National Art Museum of China, the Central Academy of Fine Arts of the China Museum of History, the Chinese Museum of History, and the Xu Beihong Memorial Hall, as well as the latest works by Chinese teachers of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, murals and sculptures . Nearly 600 authors of nearly 600 works are covered in all the 7 exhibition halls that have been opened since the renovation of the museum. It shows the achievements of Chinese modern art and reflects the historical changes of the 20th century era on the earth in China.
