林业作为国民经济的重要组成部分,既是一项基础产业,又是一项关系生态环境建设的公益事业,肩负着优化生态环境和促进经济发展的双重使命。江苏省东海县牛山木材检查站为保护全县森林资源安全、维护正常的木材流通秩序、制止和打击非法运输木材,做了大量工作,逐步发展成为全县林业行政执法的一支强有力的生力军,打造成苏北木材检查站的一面旗帜。笔者根据长期在该站从事木材检查工作的经验,总结出木材检查员在木材检查及案件处理过程中必须掌握以下几点。
