虫饵是传统钓鱼的主饵,竞技钓鱼不准用虫饵究竟是出于护水还是保护小动物,抑或是改变陋习,推广商品饵的需要,两者兼而有之。商品饵在国内起步时有个说法,腥和香两种不同味型的鱼饵会串味,不能混合在一起,最多也就是上钩主诱用香味饵,下钩主钓用腥味饵。不过野钓不受限制,休闲钓黄颡、白鲳、鲶、鳜等既认味又认形的鱼更是混搭盛行—上钩用商品饵,下钩挂虫饵。一钩一线的传统钓似乎没有混搭,只能视鱼情间隔着用荤(动物性)饵或者素(植物性)饵。不过扁担钩钓组不同,
