The inherent relationship between the declining trend of profit margins and the collapse of capital logic has been mistakenly rejected by many researchers. This negation stemmed from the fact that they failed to understand Marx’s discourse from the general methodology. Carrying out the overall methodology leads to the conclusion that the downward trend of the rate of profit should be the dialectic of the “law itself” and the reactionary factors. Examining this role, it is not hard to find that there is a hidden side in the downward trend of the rate of profit, that is, the worker’s self-development needs and the workers’ distributive struggle to meet such needs. Once the concealed side is uncovered, the essential implications of the declining trend in profit margin can be revealed: capital increasingly relies on the workers’ own development, and labor subjectivity is increasingly strengthened. Thus, “capital - labor - capital ” began to “labor - capital - labor ” conversion. This change has led to a gradual and qualitative change in the overall capitalist production that is composed of capital, labor and the dialectical interaction between the two.
