Our country will use several five-year plans to set up a national trunk road system consisting of 12 highways with a total mileage of about 25,500 kilometers. This system will connect the capital cities, important cities, transport hubs, major ports and major land-based ports in various provinces and autonomous regions in the country. It will mainly undertake medium and short-distance passenger and freight transport between major cities and provinces and some long-distance transportation suitable for road traffic. After the completion of the national trunk road system will be responsible for 24% of the country’s car traffic to connect 85% of the country’s 500,000 people
