轴瓦材料的选择除应考虑表26—30中的资料外,尚须根据轧制的资料。使用时在轴承中得到纯液体摩擦的时候是很少成功的。实际上在轧钢设备中的轴瓦多半是半液体摩擦,工作表面局部相互直接地接触的性质在临界摩擦时特别起作用。非金属轴瓦在长时期的缺少纯液体摩擦的情况下工作,这说明它具有很好的耐磨性。以塑体制造的轴瓦表面与辊颈表面之间是有磨擦的,但由于其摩擦系数很小,因之就减少了轴瓦本身的磨损,而轴颈的磨损亦趋近于最小。
