在现代题材戏曲观摩演出中,内蒙古昭乌达盟京剧团演出了京剧《巴林怒火》,中国京剧院二团演出了京剧《白云红旗》。这两出戏都以革新的精神,用京剧的艺术形式反映了蒙族人民在反抗压迫、剥削,抗御侵略中的英勇坚强的斗争精神;反映了蒙、汉劳动人民的团结;后者还表现了党的领导,无产阶级队伍在蒙族中的成长壮大;同时这两出戏在掌握京剧形式表现近代和现代生活上有了进一步的发展和成就,使观众看了慰贴自如。我们看到,艺术家们在创造新剧目时充满了信念,敢于根据京剧的艺术规律创造出表现新内容的新形式和新技巧,达到了相当的思想水平和艺术水平。
