天津各棉纺织厂工友们,要在这次停工减产期间,计划进行一个半月的正规学习,这是很难得的受教育的机会。过去一般工友在生产时间上班当工人,下班又学文化,不能有系统地受到政治教育。我们从来没有这样安心学习的好机会,今后这种机会更不会多,因此我们必须抓紧时机,好好地学习一下。如果枉费了时间,不但国家损失无法弥补,个人损失亦无法弥补。在学习过程中,政治学习应当是主要的。解放前,一个工人除了革命,前途很狭窄黯淡的,熬上工头,就算不错了。那不完全是靠本事,也要凭有门子。可是无论怎么有门子当个科长、厂长是绝对不可能的。今天不同了,有本领就能做领导、当干部,苏联就是我们的好榜样。目前苏维埃各级政府许多主席、部长、厂长、工程师都是工人出身的。新中国也有的工人当了厂长的,但是还不多,这是因为条件不够。也就是工人学习的还不够。所以解放后的工人就要一面当工人,一面当学生。现在我们暂时停工了,正是学习的好机会。
