There have been a lot of reports about the application of matrix modifier in graphite furnace atomic absorption. Some people used rhodium for graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry of selenium. However, it has not been applied to the determination of tellurium. The authors found through experiments that rhodium can improve tellurium ashing temperature and sensitivity, and can increase the stability of the measurement results. The method is applied to the determination of tellurium in pyrite, which can be carried out without isolation. The sensitivity of the method was 6.3 × 10 ~ (-11) g Te / 1% absorption. The coefficient of variation for 22 determinations of the tellurium-containing 0.2 μg / ml solution was 1.10% and the standard recovery was 94 ~ 105%.
