最近,美国海军正式建议向埃及提供、推销“鹗”级猎雷艇的“北美红雀”号MHC-60和“渡鸦”号MHC-61。建议上述2艘中的1艘无偿赠予,另1艘作为有偿军事援助的一部分进行销售,埃及拥有前苏联的4艘“尤尔卡”扫雷舰,建议利用鹗级取代上述扫雷舰。
Recently, the U.S. Navy formally proposed to Egypt to provide the “North American Linnet” MHC-60 and “Raven” MHC-61 for “鹗” class mine-hunting vessels. It is proposed that one of the two vessels be donated at no cost and the other one be sold as part of paid military assistance. Egypt owns four former Soviet Union “Jurka” minesweepers and recommends the use of sub-mines instead of the above minesweepers.
