滕代远,中国工农红军早期创始人,中国人民解放军的领导者之一、新中国人民铁路事业的奠基人。他出生于湖南省麻阳县,1924年10月加入中国社会主义青年团。1925年10月加入中国共产党。1928年7月,与彭德怀、黄公略等领导平江起义,成立中国工农红军第五军,任军党代表兼第十三师党代表,参与领导开辟湘鄂赣边革命根据地,曾被选为中华苏维埃共和国中央执行委员。1934年夏,到苏联出席共产国际第七次代表大会,并入列宁学院学习。
Teng Daiyuan, founder of the Chinese Workers ’and Peasants’ Red Army and one of the leaders of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and the founder of the new Chinese people’s railway. He was born in Mayang County, Hunan Province and joined the Chinese Socialist Youth League in October 1924. In 1925 October to join the Chinese Communist Party. In July 1928, led by leaders such as Peng Dehuai and Huang Gongliu, they upheld the Pingjiang Uprising, set up the Fifth Corps of the Red Army of Chinese Workers and Peasants, appointed the representative of the army and the 13th Division, took part in and led the revolutionary base areas in Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi, and was elected as the Chinese Soviet Republic of Central Executive Committee. In the summer of 1934, he attended the Seventh Congress of the Communist International in the Soviet Union and joined Lenin College.
