利用有效的寄生昆虫以消灭农林害虫,是害虫生物防治法研究的重要内容。当前,由于取得或饲养足够数量的寄生昆虫已遇到很大的困难,并且已经成为大规模繁殖寄生昆虫的主要而顽固的障碍,因而影响发挥有效天敌的最大作用的时候,开展利用人工饲料使寄生昆虫从卵饲育成为成虫,以及使寄生昆虫直接产卵于培养基上的研究就成为必不可少了。到目前为止,就我们所知道的,用人工饲料育成的寄生昆虫有五种(见表)。
