家兔皮下注射苯1ml／kg，造成白细胞减少症模型。增血素口服液连续用胃一周后，周围血中白细胞总数、粒细胞数及非粒细胞数的回升速度均显著高于对照组，而对细红胞数及血红蛋白含量无明显影响。结果表明：增血素有加速白细胞回升的作用。
Subcutaneous injection of benzene 1ml/kg in rabbits resulted in a leukopenia model. After one week of continuous use of hematogenin oral solution, the total leukocyte count, number of granulocytes and number of non-granulocytic cells in the peripheral blood were significantly higher than those in the control group, but there was no significant effect on the number of red blood cells and hemoglobin. The results showed that hematogenin accelerates the recovery of leukocytes.
