在五十年代中期,我在中央宣传部任秘书长兼机关党委书记时,曾被领导指定参与了对“丁玲陈企霞反党小集团”的查处工作。因我未参加中国作协党组1955年对丁、陈的批判,对所揭发的错误事实准确性如何,没有把握。作为党组织的负责人,决不能根据不实的材料处分党员。应按党章的要求办事。于是,我首先建议,对揭发的材料要逐项进行核对后,再研究如何处理。领导同意了。
In the mid-1950s, when I was secretary general of the Central Propaganda Department and secretary of the party committee of the Central Propaganda Department, I was appointed to participate in the investigation and handling of the “Ding Ling Chen Qixia Anti-Party Small Group”.
