Confucianism was born in the cultural traditions of China and then exerted more than two thousand years of influence on Chinese culture. Chinese scholars deeply rooted in the cultural traditions initially adhering to the heavy moral responsibility of Confucianism and peace and stability. Since the Han and Wei dynasties and the Tang and Song dynasties, with the emergence and flourishing of literature, calligraphy, painting and garden art, Confucian scholars began to seek the liberation of the mundane flesh in the arts and seek the transcendence of the soul. They reconciled Confucianism with the aesthetic appreciation of the arts Tradition to the responsibility of scholars. This article is a brief carding of this process, analyzing how moral responsibility and artistic spirit are gradually reconciled by scholars and eventually balance.
