Objective To analyze the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in microvessel density (MVD) and epithelial ovarian tumor, and to analyze the relationship between them and clinical pathology. Methods 88 cases of ovarian epithelial tumor specimens and 35 cases of normal ovarian tissue specimens were selected. Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of VEGF and MVD in all the specimens. The correlation between them and the clinicopathological factors of ovarian epithelial tumor Relationship between. Results The positive rate of VEGF expression in ovarian cancer tissues was 92.00%, the average MVD was 30.26 ± 8.69, which was significantly higher than that of benign ovarian epithelial tumors (P <0.05) The positive expression rate of VEGF and MVD in epithelial tumor were higher than those in normal control group (P <0.05). The average MVD in VEGF-positive ovarian cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in VEGF-negative ones, and the positive expression of VEGF was positively correlated with the MVD (P <0.05). The positive expression of VEGF in ovarian cancer was significantly correlated with the clinical stage and cell differentiation (P <0.05), but not with the tumor diameter, histological type and age of ovarian cancer (P> 0.05). There was no significant correlation between MVD and clinicopathological characteristics of tumor (P> 0.05). Conclusion Both VEGF and MVD can reflect the degree of malignant and malignant progression of ovarian epithelial neoplasm and may be the reference index for the clinical biological treatment of ovarian cancer.
