冶金部机械动力司于1984年4月19日至21日在浙江温州冶金机械厂召开T-20矿用汽车发动机——6VE108Q型柴油机矿山工业性试验的技术评定会议。有23个单位68名代表出席了会议。 6VE108Q型柴油机系温州冶金机械厂为解决T-20汽车发动机总成的替换及其关键备件的供应,参照美国通用汽车公司6V-71N型柴油机资料结合我国矿山使用情况及本厂条件,引进部分零部件,而改进设计制成。该机的技术参数如下:
