敬信湿地位于中国和俄罗斯、朝鲜三国的交界处。每年的迁徙季,有十余万只候鸟在这里歇脚,在农民的稻田里觅食。许多农户因此而遭受惨重的损失。毒杀大雁的事情屡有发生。2014年初保护地友好体系、珲春市野生动植物保护协会与当地的农户一起,参考有机种植方式,推广不施用化学合成农药和肥料的保护地友好大米种植。随后,瑞尔保护协会、《人与自然》、《健康之友》等公益组织及媒体积极参与,推动可持续农业的生态实验,达到保护迁徙候鸟的同时使农户收入不断增加的良性种植。
