每家画廊都有自己的方法来代理艺术家。对我来说,尽可能多地参加展览开幕式来支持艺术家很重要,无论展览地点在哪里。通常这会驱使我去一些古怪偏远的地方。我不仅仅把参加展览看成是一种职责和承诺,最重要的还是个人乐趣所在。我只希望能看到更多的展览!虽然70%的时间要处理北京画廊运营和管理的工作,但我还是竭尽所能地参加,这是我画廊总监角色中非常关键的一部分。
Each gallery has its own way to represent the artist. For me, it’s important to support as many artists as possible at the opening of the show, no matter where the exhibition is. This usually drives me to some weird, remote places. I not only consider participating in exhibitions as a duty and a commitment, but above all, personal pleasure. I only hope to see more exhibitions! Although I spend 70% of the time managing the operation and management of the Beijing Gallery, I did my best to participate. This is a very crucial part of my role as gallery director.
