中国文化的问题一直是冯友兰极为关注的问题。在其著作《新事论》中,他立足于现代化视角,对此问题进行了分析,并认为现代化和民族性这二者的结合,才是中国文化未来发展的趋势。只有保留民族性,中国文化才能避免极端的全盘西化,实现非类型改变的现代化发展。毫无疑问,这种思想既超越了全盘西化论,也突破了中国文化本位论的限制,从而为中国文化的未来发展指出了一条新的道路。
The issue of Chinese culture has always been of great concern to Feng Youlan. In his book New Affairs, he analyzes the issue based on the perspective of modernization and holds that the combination of modernization and nationality is the trend of the future development of Chinese culture. Only by preserving nationality can Chinese culture avoid the extreme westernization and achieve the modernization of non-type change. Undoubtedly, this kind of thinking transcends the theory of total westernization and also breaks through the restriction of Chinese culture-based theory, thus pointing out a new road for the future development of Chinese culture.
