据报载,到1992年底,我国公开发行的期刊已达7018种,其中,科技期刊约占一半,与社科类期刊平分秋色,且这支队伍仍在迅速扩大。随着科技期刊事业的发展,对其编辑人员进行继续教育的问题被提上了议事日程。科技期刊编辑继续教育的任务是什么?内容有哪些?笔者认为,不同的刊物、不同的编辑人员应有不同的侧重面。但是,也有一些任务和内容是共同的,需要普遍地安排、规划。在这些共同的任务和内容中,有计划地帮助科技期刊编辑提高语文水平和语文素养,便是至关重要的一项。
