受害学(victimology)是本世纪40年代末以来发展起来的新兴综合性学科。它主要包括有关社会保险、刑事受害、自然灾害以及民族、国家受害等问题,力求消除社会中受害的可能性,预防受害,保护(即赔偿、补偿、救助)受害人,以最终使社会稳定、协调、持续地发展进步的科学。由于受害学本身所具有的积极的社会意义,它已引起国际社会的广泛关注,大批学者专家投入这门学科。
Victimology is a newly emerging comprehensive discipline developed since the late 1940s. It mainly covers issues such as social insurance, criminal victimization, natural disasters and national and state victimization, strives to eliminate the possibility of victimization in society, prevent victimization, protect (ie, compensate, compensate and rescue) victims in order to ultimately make the society stable, Coordination, continuous development and progress of science.
