The modified CrO 2 particles have remarkable needle shape (the length / width of the particles is up to 15: 1), and its crystalline anisotropy is consistent with the shape anisotropy. In view of the high shape anisotropy of magnetic tape made of CrO 2, it can be used as a research model for the influence of the orientation effect of magnetic particles on the working layer.
