This article briefly describes the characteristics of landslides and collapsing and geohazards in the Three Gorges Reservoir area and the monitoring and management of collapsing and geohazard in the past 30 years. In connection with the ongoing planning of the monitoring and early warning system for such geological disasters, the related issues were studied, the complete concept of monitoring and early warning system was put forward and some new ideas and methods were put forward
