The main damage easily occurred in the process of using wire ropes and the main testing methods of wire rope damage were expounded as well as the importance of electromagnetic non-destructive testing of wire ropes and the significance of the newly issued “Ferromagnetic Wire Rope Electromagnetic Testing Method” standard.
