里分住宅是武汉近代的一种主要住宅类型,是汉口开埠之后西方低层连排式住宅和中国传统建筑的结合体,与北京的四合院、上海的里弄一样,武汉的里分代表着武汉这座历史文化名城所特有的气质和文化内涵,彰显着武汉城市的个性魅力。笔者在对武汉里分式住宅建筑进行调查和研究的基础上,考虑到如何才能处理好旧的里分与新的城市发展的关系?如何进一步保护和挖掘历史遗留下来的这一生动的城市肌理,在此略施管见。
