Following his brief Honoréde Balzac, Prof. Hubert J. Hunt wrote a large book on Balzac’s work: The Human Comedy of Balzac (Balzac’s Comédie Humaine, 506 pp. Aceton Press). The book provides sufficient material for the formation of Balzac’s writing theory and intention. Balzac gradually realized that his work, by integrating aesthetic, sociological, moral and scientific theories, would portray the whole picture of society.
