我校是地处郊县的一所农村初级中学。和许多农村学校一样,我们的外语教学原先也存在着“为应试而教、为应试而学”“哑巴英语”等问题。但我们深知,我们大家面临的外语教学任务是同样的,发展中的南汇和全市其他区县一样需要一流的外语教学。实践证明,尝试牛津英语教学是有效、快速摆脱以往我们教学中存在的诸多问题,争创一流外语教学水平的有效手段和途径。我们学校从1999学年的一个班级试点牛津英语教学到2000学年度预备年级11个教学班全部
Our school is a rural junior high school located in the suburbs. Like many rural schools, our foreign language teaching originally had problems such as “teaching for exams, studying for exams,” “dumb English”. However, we are fully aware that the tasks we all face in foreign language teaching are the same. The development of Nanhui and other districts and counties in the city require first-rate foreign language teaching. Practice has proved that trying Oxford English teaching is an effective and quick way to get rid of the problems that existed in our teaching, and to strive for the first-class foreign language teaching.
