以桂枝汤口饲动物,17.5和35g/kg·d剂量组对小鼠流感病毒性肺炎有抑制作用,对病鼠的单核巨噬细胞系统吞噬活性有增强作用。给相同剂量桂枝汤后45min,再给予热粥,并提高环境温度,从22℃升高到27℃,维持1h,与单纯给药组相比,能显著提高对小鼠流感病毒性肺炎的抑制作用,也有增强病鼠单核巨噬细胞系统吞噬活性的倾向。上述结果对《伤寒论》所述桂枝汤服后啜粥、温覆以助药力的认识,提供了一定的实验说明。
