照像成绩的好坏一般决定于两方面：照和冲印。也就是说，一张好的像片不但要求照像时光对得好、景取得好、光圈大小适当、曝光合宜，而且要求在冲印时显影正确、印像时间正确等。有时由于客观条件的限制，在照的时候不可能得到完全满意的底片。例如我们同时对室内室外的物休拍照时，除非使用闪光灯，不然不是室外风景曝光适当，房内部份漆黑，就是房内的景物清楚，而窗外一片白，看不出什么。又如用闪光灯夜间照像、前景曝光适当影纹清楚，而背景却看不清楚。
