用临床微波透热机照射年青成熟雄性白鼠的睾丸,用铜板屏蔽白鼠其余部分。照射源正对睾丸末端,距离天线5Cm。一个睾丸用于测温,将热偶插入睾丸纵轴附近测量睾丸末端,中部和近端的温度。另一睾丸用于研究组织学损伤。另外用红外线灯作辐射源进行类似的实验,以石棉饭屏蔽其余部分,使之免受辐射,以后的研究同前。睾丸组织学的损伤程度分级如下:
