酒钢1号高炉(1513m~3)第三代炉役生产了7年4个月。1996年以前,1号高炉生产水平较低,成为酒钢生产的限制性环节。在炉役后期,通过合理炉料结构的探索、装料制度的调整、送风制度的调整、加强焦炭负荷的调剂作用以及重视护炉等工作,探索到了适合酒钢原燃料条件的冶炼方针和操作制度,使炼铁生产逐步走出了低谷,1997年共产生铁83.60万t,突破了年产80万t的设计能力,1998年元月份1号高炉利用系数达到了1.7。
