Overview and Prospects of Anhui Province Sub-Block Barge Jacking and Transportation Dong Dongnan (Department of Science and Technology, Anhui Provincial Communications Department) l Overview Anhui is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The Yangtze River flows through 401 km of the province. The mainstream of the Huai River flows mainly through the northern part of our province. The flow is basically from west to east. By the end of the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period, the navigation mileage of the province reached 5686km with 880 berths and the freight volume was 47.2 million tons.
