虎丘塔,又名云岩寺塔,亦称中国比萨斜塔,座落在虎丘山巅,巍巍壮观。1961年由国务院公布为全国重点文物保护单位。据史料记载:虎丘塔最早建于隋仁寿年间(601—604)但已倾圯现存的塔建于五代末(959年)成于北宋建隆二年(961年)为七级八面仿木楼阁式砖塔,塔身由外壁和塔心组合而成。外檐斗拱采用砖木混合结构,塔内各层多模仿木结构形式,
Huchu Tower, also known as Yunyan Temple Pagoda, also known as the Chinese Leaning Tower of Pisa, is located in the foothills of Huqiu. In 1961, it was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit. According to historical records, Huchu Tower was first built during the period of Ren Renshou (601-604) but the existing tower was built at the end of the Five Dynasties (959) and was established in the second year of the Northern Song Dynasty (961). The pavilion-style brick tower consists of an outer wall and a tower heart. The outer dome bracket adopts a mixed structure of brick and wood, and each layer inside the tower simulates the wooden structure.
