昔人评苏东坡诗,冠以“清、雄”二字,由于天才的苏氏既能作“天外黑风吹海立”那种雄奇之句,又能以清丽笔触勾出“浙东飞雨过江来”这类沁人心脾的美境,故而批评家很难将其划归到“豪放派”或“婉约派”中。我觉得以“清、雄”二字来概括吴戈先生的绘画风格,也是比较贴切的。吴戈学画从山水入手,后发展到以花鸟为主。浙派花鸟画是在继承了海派的写生、用墨、设色传统,又加之以书法、金石入画,形成了以气韵生动为主导、诗书画印完美结合为审美
