叶君健是中国现代文学的译介的先驱之一。经过他的译介,世界各国的读者不仅开始熟悉中国优秀的文学作品和作者,也了解了中国近现代社会的状况、中国普通民众的风俗习惯和生活境遇以及中国共产党的政治主张。然而,长期以来,或许是因为叶君健在安徒生作品翻译上的成就过于耀眼,其在中国现代文学外译方面的工作并未得到学界的充分重视。因此,本文将梳理叶君健翻译生涯中对中国现代文学外译所做的贡献,并在此基础上通过案例研究和译例分析来探寻叶君健中译外作品的重要特点及其采取的主要翻译策略,特别是利用最近在翻译研究受到重视的“文化自觉”概念来分析叶君健外译活动取得成功的内在规律,希望能为当下的中国文化“走出去”提供借鉴和参考。
Ye Junjian is one of the pioneers in the translation of modern Chinese literature. After his translation and introduction, readers of all countries in the world not only became acquainted with excellent Chinese literary works and authors, but also learned about the conditions of modern and contemporary China, the customs and living conditions of ordinary Chinese people, and the political ideas of the Chinese Communist Party. However, for a long time, perhaps because Ye Junjian’s achievements in the translation of Andersen’s works are too bright, his work on the translation of Chinese modern literature has not been paid enough attention by the academic circles. Therefore, this article will sort out Ye Junjian’s contribution to the translation of modern Chinese literature in his career as a translator, and on this basis, through case studies and case studies, explores the important features of Ye Junjian’s translations of foreign works and the main translation strategies, In particular, we use the concept of “Cultural Consciousness ”, which has been paid more attention to in translation studies recently, to analyze the inherent law of Ye Junjian’s success in his translation and hope to provide references for the current Chinese culture “going out ”.
